CEO & Owner

Rafael is a founding partner of Quantronic and has been its CEO for the last 25 years, during which time he has overseen the company’s massive growth. The business he launched in a factory with just 2,500 square feet and eight employees is housed today in a 50,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility with over 100 employees

Under Rafael’s leadership, Quantronic has developed a culture where all employees are highly valued and their contributions equally respected. As a result, the Quantronic workforce is exceptionally loyal and shows its support for the company’s commitment to excellence by continuously driving improvements.

After studying chemical engineering at Kansas State University, Rafael worked as a process consultant to major manufacturing firms across the U.S. and the Midwest. He became highly respected and earned a reputation for developing effective solutions to a variety of manufacturing challenges. At a colleague’s suggestion, Rafael became interested in the electronics industry, and along with several partners, founded Quantronic in 1995.

Outside of his leadership at Quantronic, Rafael is a proud father and grandfather. Originally from Colorado, he made Minnesota his home after meeting his wife, Patricia. After 45 years of marriage, he often jokes that only she could have convinced him to endure the Minnesota winters. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and the quiet moments it brings.
