CEO & Owner

Rafael is a founding partner of Quantronic and has been its CEO for the last 25 years, during which time he has overseen the company’s massive growth. The business he launched in a factory with just 2,500 square feet and eight employees, is housed today in a 50,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility with over 80 employees.

Under Rafael’s leadership, Quantronic has developed a culture where all employees are highly valued and their contributions equally respected. As a result, the Quantronic workforce is
exceptionally loyal and shows its support for the company’s commitment to excellence by continuously driving improvements.

After studying chemical engineering at Kansas State University, Rafael worked as a process consultant to major manufacturing firms across the U.S./Midwest. He became highly respected and earned a reputation for developing effective solutions to a variety of manufacturing challenges. At a colleague’s suggestion, Rafael became interested in the electronics industry, and along with several partners, founded Quantronic in 1995.

In addition to his Quantronic family, Rafael is a proud father and grandfather. He first came to Minnesota after meeting his wife, Patricia. After 40 years of marriage, he claims she is the only one who could have gotten him to put up with Minnesota winters.
